Riad Merzouga, located in the vibrant city of Marrakech, has received mixed reviews from guests. Many have highlighted the high quality level of the establishment, praising it as an excellent and very good Riad that offers good standards throughout. A number of guests have even described it as the best hotel they've ever stayed at and awarded the place perfect scores.
However, some guests have pointed out discrepancies when it comes to the hotel's five-star rating. Several reviews indicate that the Riad does not match the luxury five-star standards typically found in Europe with guests comparing it more to a good three-star hotel. There are mentions of it being a family-run establishment, clean and decent for the price, but not necessarily at the premium level expected of a five-star property.
Critiques have also been made about the lack of services and local information, such as plans, details about the souk and the medina, which guests found lacking. Some negative points include mentions of dirty flip flops, breakfast quality and rooms that failed to meet expectations.
While Riad Merzouga enjoys a reputation for offering good quality and standards overall, it appears that some expectations may need to be managed concerning its rating and certain services.
