Summary of reviews

Summarized by AI

Motel 6-Troutdale, OR - Portland East is favorably regarded for its exceptionally convenient location. Nestled close to I-84, the motel offers easy access to local attractions like the Columbia River Gorge and Mount Hood, as well as shopping and dining options, including a nearby outlet mall and various eateries. Its location also makes it ideal for attending events at Edgefield or the local amphitheater. Although some guests have noted issues regarding undesirable smells and concerns about crime in the area, its affordability and prime location make it a preferred choice for many travelers.

Guest experiences with the rooms are varied. While some rooms are clean, cute and come with essential facilities such as a TV, others fall short in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. Inconsistent availability of amenities like fridges and microwaves, along with sporadic issues with heating and air conditioning, suggest variability in the room experiences. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel is noted for being dog-friendly, enhancing its appeal to pet owners.

The cleanliness of the motel also presents a mixed picture. Certain rooms and areas are reported to be very clean, but there are multiple complaints about dirty floors, unclean bathrooms and outdoor areas littered with debris like cigarette butts and dog feces. Issues like mold and unpleasant odors further detract from the overall impression.

The staff at Motel 6-Troutdale receives high praise with many guests specifically commending front desk staff members and the General Manager for their friendly and accommodating service. The welcoming atmosphere created by the attentive staff contributes positively to the guest experience.

The hotel’s outdoor pool, while a potential attraction, has received mixed reviews. Some guests have enjoyed the large pool, but maintenance issues such as murky water and overall cleanliness have led to some dissatisfaction.

When it comes to parking, guests generally find it convenient with plenty of space and the ability to park close to their rooms. However, it is advised to stay vigilant and keep cars locked due to some security concerns in the area.

Finally, bed experiences at the motel are mixed. Some guests find the beds comfortable, enabling a restful night's sleep, while others report issues such as beds being old, lumpy, squeaky or too firm, accompanied by flat pillows. Despite these varied experiences, the friendly staff and the affordability of the accommodations generally ensure a satisfactory stay for many guests.
