Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
District Hotel by OYO Portland Convention Center is primarily praised for its strategic location, which provides easy access to numerous attractions and local transport options. Its proximity to the Moda Center and convention center makes it an ideal choice for event-goers, while nearby MAX trains and streetcar stops facilitate exploration of Portland's vibrant downtown offerings, including various restaurants.
The hotel rooms offer practicality with amenities like microwaves and refrigerators, and some guests find the large beds comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. However, there are mixed reviews regarding room quality, as issues such as stained carpets, odors, and small bathroom spaces detract from the overall experience.
Cleanliness remains a significant concern, with frequent reports of unpleasant smells, dirty hallways, and maintenance issues overshadowing guests' stays. Despite these challenges, the staff are consistently recognized for their exceptional service and welcoming demeanor. Receptionists are noted for their attentiveness, and manager Robert is praised for his professionalism, enhancing the guest experience despite the shortcomings in other areas.
Regarding beds, experiences differ, with many guests appreciating their comfort and size, while others report issues such as stains and discomfort. Overall, while the hotel's convenient location and friendly staff offer positive aspects, potential guests should be mindful of the varied experiences related to room conditions and cleanliness.
