Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Campanile Rouen Sud - Cléon Elbeuf is praised by guests for its conveniently accessible location, making it ideal for travelers seeking a practical and restful stopover. Situated close to the A13 motorway, it offers a tranquil environment with abundant parking, beneficial for those journeying between the South of France, the UK and the Normandy coast. The peaceful and green setting, despite being proximal to less picturesque residential and industrial areas, adds to its appeal, especially for those attending events at the nearby concert hall La Traverse or horse enthusiasts visiting the local equestrian club.
Breakfast at the hotel receives commendation for its variety and quality, providing a generous and diverse spread that exceeds expectations for a chain hotel. Guests find it delicious and of great value, although improvements in service, such as timely clearing of dishes and extending breakfast hours, could enhance the experience further.
The dinner service, while straightforward, lacks luster and variety with some dishes like tough steak and tasteless white fish drawing criticism. Elevated pricing in relation to portion sizes and quality, combined with limited weekend availability, suggests room for improvement in both menu offerings and service timeliness.
Rooms are noted for their cleanliness, practicality and comfort with several having modernized touches that contrast with the otherwise slightly outdated building. Guests highlight comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Minor maintenance issues like broken blinds and shower hoses are occasional drawbacks, yet overall, the accommodations provide a reliable and comfortable stay.
Cleanliness is a standout feature with rooms and communal amenities consistently described as spotless and well-maintained. This aspect contributes significantly to the hotel's positive reputation.
The staff at Campanile Rouen Sud - Cléon Elbeuf garners high praise for their friendliness, attentiveness and willingness to assist, creating a welcoming and hassle-free experience for guests. From the check-in process to handling late arrivals and special requests, the staff's helpfulness leaves a lasting positive impression.
Parking facilities are ample, secure and conveniently located, enhancing the appeal for those traveling by car. Guests appreciate the locked and closed parking area at night, ensuring vehicle safety.
Beds in the hotel receive mixed reviews, but largely positive feedback highlights their comfort and quality. Some guests find the bedding too firm, but overall, the beds are described as comfortable and conducive to a good night's sleep.
In conclusion, Campanile Rouen Sud - Cléon Elbeuf offers a practical and pleasant lodging experience with its accessible location, clean and comfortable rooms, satisfactory breakfast, standout staff and secure parking, making it a solid choice for short stays and stopovers.
