What makes your hotel/accommodation eco-friendly?
Signs in the rooms informing guests that towels will only be changed upon request
No disposable (single use) cups/glasses, plates and cutlery
Most of the ingredients used to prepare meals are locally produced
Is there anything that you would like to highlight, add or clarify? We minimise any food waste very effectively by asking guests to order their breakfast in advance and adjusting their order each day. We do not use sachets in the breakfast room for sauces as we use recycle the mini jam jars and use those for sauces and other purposes including a small gift when guests leave the hotel. The milk in the rooms is provided in glass bottles. We do not change the towels or bedding unless guests request the service as they are on a longer stay. We provide tap water in the rooms in glass bottles which are refilled as required. We do not use table cloths that require washing - just place mats that are wiped each day. The china we use is vintage and has been in the family since the 1970s and we source other serving/decorative items from the local charity shops. Many of the cushions in the hotel are made from up-cycled fabric. Due to the close proximity of the hotel to all the local attractions we encourage people to park their car here and walk to restaurants and other parts of the resort by providing maps and suggested walking routes. We provide the open top bus timetable and other tips on enjoying Llandudno without using the car. We have a link on our website to train services for booking rail tickets to visit the resort.
