InterContinental Table Bay Cape Town by IHG has received mixed reviews regarding its five-star rating, facilities and services. While some guests felt the hotel embodies the luxury and standards of a five-star establishment, others expressed disappointment, citing that it falls short of their high expectations. Positive feedback highlights the superb breakfast buffet, luxurious bathroom amenities and spectacular décor, which contribute to the hotel's five-star appearance. Guests have praised the hotel for meeting five-star service expectations and described the hotel as beautiful and luxurious.
However, there are several criticisms regarding the hotel's internal management with issues such as disorganized breakfast queues and inconsistent service mentioned frequently. Some guests find the hotel outdated and believe it doesn't justify the high price tag associated with a five-star designation. The room service and restaurant seating capacity also received negative remarks and there seems to be a discrepancy between the hotel's promise of five-star service and the actual experience of some guests.
In summary, while InterContinental Table Bay Cape Town by IHG has its highlights and several guests have enjoyed their luxurious stays, there is a notable gap for some between the five-star claims and the actual service and management delivered.
