However, some guests felt that the hotel was a little shabby around the edges with broken bins and dryers in the changing rooms, a damp smell in one corridor and weeds around the pool area. In addition, the hotel appeared to be understaffed which led to delays in food service and replenishment and some guests found that their hot drinks never arrived. Despite these minor complaints, Knoll House is still a lovely spot and a great place to relax by the pool. Some guests suggested that the hotel could add more pool loungers for added comfort.
