With a location close to local attractions, our family enjoyed exploring all that downtown had to offer. Although the pool area was often crowded, our daughter loved swimming during our 5-night stay. The separate bed and family room provided plenty of space for our family of 5 and we were delighted to be upgraded to a room on the 8th floor with a magnificent view of downtown. This pet-friendly hotel was very accommodating for families traveling with multiple children and we appreciated that the pool stayed open until 10 pm. However, we do advise families to be cautious when entering the hotel as there may be homeless people nearby. Overall, Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Downtown is a good place for families to stay and enjoy happy hour with loved ones. On the downside, the complimentary snacks provided during happy hour were not great, especially if you have children who may not be fond of cherry tomatoes, broccoli and celery.
