Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Camping Le Marqueval is highly lauded for its prime location, offering a serene yet convenient holiday setting close to Dieppe and within walking distance of the beach. This picturesque campsite boasts beautifully maintained grounds, tranquil ponds and lush vegetation, making it ideal for beach visits, countryside hikes and explorations of the Alabaster Coast. Families particularly appreciate the on-site children's farm and the tranquil environment and clean facilities cater well to those seeking a peaceful getaway. Proximity to local amenities further enhances its appeal.
The campsite is consistently praised for its high standards of cleanliness. Guests frequently describe the mobile homes and cottages as clean, well-equipped and occasionally likened to new. Common areas, including showers and restrooms, are also noted for their impeccable cleanliness. While there have been occasional issues with insufficient cleaning in certain lodgings and some hygiene concerns at the pool, the overall sentiment remains very positive.
Exceptional staff significantly contribute to the positive experience at Camping Le Marqueval. The team is described as friendly, professional and incredibly attentive, often going above and beyond for guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the start. Instances of staff sending forgotten items by post further highlight their commitment to guest satisfaction.
The campsite's pool offerings have received mixed reviews. While children and families enjoy the pools, some guests note that the outdoor pool is often too cold due to being unheated and there have been occasional maintenance and closure issues. Nonetheless, the heated indoor pool is well-received and many appreciate the clean and lovely pool area, despite calls for renovations.
Lastly, the mobile homes are found to be cozy and clean with many guests highlighting the comfort of the beds. However, some reviews mention hard, thin mattresses with suggestions for mattress toppers to improve sleep quality. Issues with pillows and sheets, as well as the comfort of the couch and chairs, are noted but do not significantly detract from the overall positive experience in the mobile homes.
In summary, Camping Le Marqueval offers a relaxing and enjoyable vacation experience, particularly praised for its beautiful and clean setting, superb location, excellent staff and family-friendly amenities. Despite minor issues, it remains a commendable choice for a pleasant and serene holiday.
