The Lakeland Village at Heavenly boasts a prime location directly on the lake with a stunning pier and a private beach perfect for a day of sunbathing. Guests have the choice of two beautiful pools, one of which is heated, although it was down for maintenance for a couple of days during our stay. However, the kiddy pool was perfect! The alberca y spa are also highlights, although some guests noted that the spa could be warmer and the hot tub surface needed maintenance. Despite this, the pool and the hot tub are great and there's a good chance you'll spend a lot of time there! The hotel is in close proximity to stores and restaurants, making it a great spot for those who want to be in the heart of the action. However, the nearest pool was noisy and not shielded from Hwy 50 traffic, so you may want to request a room closer to the other pool. All in all, our expectations were met and we would recommend this hotel for its location and excellent pool facilities.

Beach

With its own private beach just steps away from the hotel, vacationers can soak up the sun in complete privacy or take a refreshing swim in the inviting waters. Though the beach may be crowded at times, guests loved the convenience and proximity to the water. The kiddy pool proved to be the perfect respite for children wanting to splash around in the water. Even though there were some complaints about algae and flying bugs, most reviewers felt that the beach was wonderfully maintained with chairs and loungers provided for ultimate relaxation. While some guests were disappointed that the beach was not swimmable due to murky water and unappealing nature of bird's droppings, nature enthusiasts found it difficult not to admire the natural wildlife that flourished in the area. Regardless, guests found that the property's location, combined with its beach access, made for an excellent summer destination.
