While the WiFi service receives mixed reviews, many guests appreciate its steady and high-speed connection, even allowing for seamless Netflix streaming. The City Club at 1 on Albert Building presents a mixed bag of experiences for guests. On the positive side, visitors appreciated its economical pricing, seeing value in what they received for the cost. The building itself boasts an appealing aesthetic and features a charming café and a small nail salon. Inside, the rooms are described as nice and clean, and there's a certain allure to the location, which some found comfortable and safe, despite its slow-paced gentrification efforts.
However, the facility falls short in several critical areas. Many guests noted significant issues with cleanliness, citing dirty rooms upon arrival and minimal housekeeping, with cleaning services provided only once a week. The hotel seems more suited to student accommodations, with basic amenities and sparse kitchen facilities. Service also leaves much to be desired, with reports of long check-in times and unfriendly staff lacking proper customer service skills. Additionally, the promised WiFi is unreliable, and the hard mattresses do little to improve the stay experience. While the property might attract those looking for short-term, economical accommodation, potential visitors should weigh these drawbacks carefully.
