The APA Hotel & Resort Nishishinjuku Gochome Ekimae Tower features a rooftop outdoor pool that guests often describe as a standout amenity. Many reviews highlight the pool's cleanliness and attractiveness, making it a great place to relax, especially given its extended hours of accessibility until 10:00 PM. Guests appreciate its pleasant atmosphere and consider it one of the hotel's key features.
However, there are several notable drawbacks. The pool is subject to an additional charge, which many guests find disappointing, especially since the fee was not always transparently communicated at booking. This extra cost, which some find expensive, seems to discourage more widespread use among guests. Furthermore, the pool's availability is seasonal, typically only open in July and August, thus limiting access during other times of the year. Additionally, individuals with tattoos may face restrictions unless they cover up with special bandages.
Overall, while the pool's quality and ambiance receive praise, the extra charges and limited availability are significant points of critique among guests.

Guests have a mixed impression of the swimming pool at the Asakusa View Hotel. The pool itself is described as large, immaculate and well-maintained, providing a pleasant amenity for those who use it. However, there are significant downsides that have left many guests dissatisfied. Accessing the pool comes with high additional charges, typically around 3300 to 3500 yen per person, which many found excessive given the overall cost of their stay. Moreover, the pool has limited operating hours and restrictive rules, particularly affecting families with children under 13 who can only use the facility during July and August. Some reviews mention that the pool is often closed or not available when guests wish to use it, adding to their frustration. Despite its appealing appearance and potential for relaxation, the pool's restricted access, high cost and outdated condition overshadow the positive aspects for many guests.

The APA Hotel & Resort Roppongi-Eki-Higashi offers a variety of amenities, including a rooftop and indoor pool that have received mixed reviews. Guests have appreciated the lovely pool area, particularly the rooftop pool, which offers magnificent views, including the Tokyo Tower. The clean and functional pool area has been highlighted positively with children enjoying their time there as well. The hotel also features a well-regarded spa and public bath, offering an excellent open-air bath experience.
However, some guests were disappointed with the pool being closed unexpectedly for maintenance or weather-related reasons and not being informed of these closures in advance. The pool is only available from July to September and requires an extra charge, which many found to be expensive and not clearly communicated during the booking process. The no tattoo policy at the pool, a standard practice in Japan, was noted by some reviewers.
Despite these setbacks, the rooftop pool with its lovely views remains a notable feature when operational. Guests also enjoyed the surrounding area with easy access to attractions like Roppongi Hills and Azabudai Hills, making the hotel's location a significant advantage.
