Holiday Sands South offers a solid experience for those seeking a three-star hotel stay. It is located directly on the beach, providing easy access to sand and surf, as well as being close to many restaurants and attractions like Broadway at Myrtle. While the hotel is somewhat dated and could benefit from light remodeling and updates in public areas, it still meets the expectations for its rating. Rooms and facilities align well with the three-star category, making it a good value for the price. Overall, it provides a comfortable and adequate experience for guests looking for beachfront accommodations without the luxury of higher-rated hotels.

Compass Cove presents a mixed experience for visitors staying at this beachfront property. Its undeniably prime location and free parking are definite perks that guests appreciated. Visitors frequently highlighted the property's impressive pools and clean environment, with particular fondness for Compass Rose. The unique bracelet key entry system was recognized as an intriguing and efficient touch. Nevertheless, the hotel's facilities, including rooms and amenities, exhibited signs of aging and were often described as needing significant updates. While rooms were generally spacious, some guests felt misled by the initial descriptions and faced delays during check-in, with rooms not ready until late afternoon. Although the overall cleanliness received positive remarks, there were instances of guests calling out deep cleaning needs. The food, atmosphere, and cleanliness ratings suggest a pleasant experience on multiple fronts, but there is a clear need for improvements in overall upkeep. Overall, Compass Cove offers an adequate stay with room for enhancement, ideal for those prioritizing a budget-friendly visit over luxurious accommodations.

The Paradise Resort is a passable three-star hotel that offers pleasant accommodation at a fair price. While some guests found the hotel to be outdated and disappointing, others felt it was pretty nice for the price. However, the hotel's facilities and services could use some improvement with some guests noting the poor cleanliness of the bathrooms and floors, the lack of kitchen items and space in the garage for parking and the noise on the first floor. Additionally, the breakfast was not good and was costly and the coffee was not fresh. Despite these shortcomings, the hotel was considered passable by most guests and those who were disappointed suggested looking elsewhere for accommodation.
