Location

Located in the heart of Tucson, Lodge On The Desert is an oasis of tranquility that offers a great location for exploring the city's attractions. Guests can easily access major streets for travel to parks and other places beyond the city. The hotel is situated immediately off a busy one-way street but still manages to maintain a serene environment. The hotel's location is also conveniently close to Reid Park Zoo, walking paths and public transportation. The mountain view is an added bonus and guests can enjoy drinks at the bar while taking in the beautiful scenery. Despite a few negative reviews of the location, most guests found it to be good, if not great and the hotel's traditional architecture only adds to its charm. Whether you're in Tucson for business or pleasure, Lodge On The Desert is a great location to call home during your stay.

Breakfast

The breakfast at Lodge On The Desert is truly exceptional and amazing with lots of choices and an imaginative menu. Guests loved the fresh mixed fruit and the various hot dishes served nice and hot, including crisp bacon, super sausage and real scrambled eggs. The free full breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented with something for everyone, including granola, oatmeal, bagels and assorted meats. The outdoor cafe with fireplace and fountain was a peaceful and charming setting for breakfast. The breakfast at Cielos was also really good. However, some guests found the breakfast poor, slim, awful, overrated, overpriced or not adapted to European travelers. Nevertheless, most guests enjoyed the breakfast and the excellent service provided by the staff.

Dinner

The Lodge On The Desert boasts an exceptional 5-star restaurant on site called Cielo's, offering exceptional service and fine dining food choices. Guests enjoyed both lunch and dinner options with an excellent menu to choose from. The drinks at the restaurant, especially during happy hour, were really good. The restaurant itself is amazing with compliments to the chef for their fantastic cuisine. There are also various seating choices available to guests. However, one guest had a disappointing experience with a $20 hamburger and poor service. Despite this, guests mostly agree that Cielo's is an excellent restaurant for dinner with great staff and incredible food options.
