Red Roof Inn Oklahoma Airport I 40 W Fairgrounds is notably praised for its prime location. Conveniently positioned near popular restaurants, gas stations and major highways, including I-40, the hotel offers easy access to the airport and the OKC Fairgrounds. This makes it an excellent choice for both travelers and event attendees, delivering good value for its price. Despite the lack of breakfast service, guests often highlight the overall positive experience and other amenities available during their stay.
The accommodations feature spacious rooms with effective air conditioning, which some guests found clean and comfortable. However, the property has received consistent feedback regarding issues with room maintenance and cleanliness. Reports of worn-out mattresses, pervasive unpleasant odors and infestations by flies, roaches, fleas or even bedbugs have been common. Functional issues like non-operating toilets and water seepage signal a need for better upkeep and repairs.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel is a mixed bag. While some guests appreciated the efforts of the housekeeping staff to keep beds clean and comfortable, others reported dirty floors, stained carpets and rooms smelling of marijuana and urine. The exterior areas like sidewalks and stairs were also noted as needing more attention. There were mixed responses regarding customer service with some visitors applauding the staff's friendliness and professionalism, particularly highlighting individuals like Kathy. Others, however, encountered rude or dismissive behavior, indicating inconsistency in service quality.
Overall, the beds have received both praise and criticism. While many guests found them comfortable and clean, some found them to be worn out or exceptionally uncomfortable with a notable mention of bedbugs in isolated cases.
The Red Roof Inn Oklahoma Airport I 40 W Fairgrounds could be a suitably convenient and value-oriented choice for travelers and fairground attendees. Yet, addressing the recurring issues related to room cleanliness, maintenance and staff service could significantly enhance the guest experience.
