Although the outdoor pool can get crowded, guests can always enjoy the beautiful Bastion pool after a brief walk through the hotel gardens. The only downside is that the indoor pool is not accessible to more than three swimmers at a time. Lastly, the hotel also features a shallow pool for children. To sum up, the pool area and hotel gardens are a dream come true and guests can relax, unwind and enjoy the fantastic views and facilities provided.

The indoor pool is particularly appreciated by guests who find it nice and warm, ideal for a swim. The outdoor pool, located almost by the sea, is lovely but, understandably, too cold in November. Nonetheless, the hotel's own little marina and private beach with loungers and showers are a great feature. The pool facilities, though, could use some improvement: the outdoor pool could be warmer, while the indoor one is a bit small and occasionally crowded. Also, the jacuzzi was broken and the pool deck chairs basic. Regardless, the pool area, both indoor and outdoor, is well-liked by guests and the fact that the heated pool is open 24/7 is a plus. The hotel's location is convenient, being near Valetta's city center and one of the pools even provides direct access to the sea. All in all, a nice place to swim, relax and enjoy the facilities.
