Nestled near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the inn provides easy access to scenic trails like Cades Cove Loop, making it a favored destination for nature enthusiasts and hikers. The peaceful setting offers a serene retreat from the busier areas of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, yet remains conveniently close for visits to these vibrant locales. The beauty of the surroundings, combined with clean and well-maintained facilities, contributes to a relaxing atmosphere that guests appreciate.
The accommodations at Highland Manor Inn are described as spacious and exceptionally clean. While the decor may be slightly dated, the rooms consistently meet expectations for comfort and tidiness. Guests particularly value the quiet and restful sleep environment provided, with effective blackout conditions at night. Though the beds receive mixed reviews due to varying firmness, the overall provision of comfort and cleanliness is well-regarded.
The inn's breakfast offerings are basic but appreciated, providing necessary morning sustenance with items such as pastries, coffee, and cereal. While guests note the absence of certain options like fruits or protein, they find it a reasonable value included in their stay. Suggestions for improvement include more variety and earlier breakfast hours to accommodate early risers.
