Motel 6-Orlando, FL - Winter Park features a commendable location that is highly appreciated by guests. Conveniently nestled near major highways, essential amenities, shopping centers and the airport, the motel is well-positioned for travelers seeking easy navigation and practicality. The area is well-monitored, offering an additional layer of security for guests, though some concerns about nighttime street activity and cleanliness persist.
The rooms receive mixed feedback. Positively, many guests applaud the cleanliness of the linens, fresh towels and efficient housekeeping. Staff members, including Ms. Dorothy, General Manager James Orr, Mr. Emile and Whitney, are frequently praised for their kind-hearted, helpful and friendly demeanor, enhancing the overall stay for many visitors.
Nevertheless, significant cleanliness issues are recurring problems. Several guests report unpleasant odors, stained bedding, sightings of roaches and other pests. Mold in bathrooms and dirty floors are also common complaints. The ongoing renovations sometimes result in rooms not being adequately prepared for new guests, which severely impacts the overall guest experience.
In terms of bedding, feedback is again mixed. Some guests find the beds comfortable and appreciate the new mattresses and TVs. On the other hand, issues such as lumpy, noisy beds, holes in blankets, uncomfortable pillows and older mattresses wrapped in crinkly plastic detract from the overall comfort. Concerns about bed bugs, hair and dirt on some beds further mar the lodging experience.
The staff's friendly and accommodating nature remains a bright spot, often going the extra mile to address guest issues and improve their stay. However, the pervasive cleanliness and maintenance issues, along with mixed experiences regarding room conditions and beds, indicate that while the motel offers value for money, significant improvements are necessary to provide a consistently comfortable and hygienic stay.
