At the Amira Luxury Resort & Spa, guests can enjoy a beautiful and clean beach with comfortable loungers, providing a perfect place to watch the beautiful sunset every day. The beach is nicely organized and modern, offering guests easy access to the water, which is clean and safe to swim in with a perfect temperature. There are plenty of sunbeds available and the service on the beach is also perfect. Although the beach is only sandy in front of the hotel, it still offers a wide and pleasant place for guests to sunbathe. Additionally, guests can enjoy delicious drinks like the strawberry daiquiri directly on the beach. Overall, the hotel's direct access to a beautiful beach with stunning views is undoubtedly one of its main highlights.

The Syntopia Hotel - Adults Only is located a short walk from the beach, which has lovely cocktail bars and is near beautiful parts of Crete's southern coast. However, some guests found the beach to be unimpressive and charge for sun lounges. For those with kids, some recommended visiting the Fodele Beach Hotel instead. Others opted to drive 20 minutes to a nicer beach. Despite this, Rethymnon city and beach are nearby and easily accessible from Syntopia.

If you're looking for a hotel with direct access to a beachfront, Rethymno Palace might be the perfect choice for you. You can go from your hotel room to the beach without paying an entrance fee every time. The beach bar is a great addition and the beach itself is right by the hotel, making it very convenient. While the beach might not be sandy, it's still pretty and offers plenty of spots to enjoy the waves. Keep in mind that the water is a bit rocky, so it's recommended to wear shoes to go in the sea. Some reviews mentioned that the beach was uncomfortable due to the stones and rocks, but this is a common situation in many beaches in Crete. The view from the balcony overlooking the pool and the sea is spectacular. The beach loungers and umbrellas are good, but be aware that there might be lots of people not staying at the hotel occupying them. Swimming in the sea can be a bit complicated due to the rocks and waves and some reviews mentioned that it's impossible and dangerous to swim at times. Remember to bring suitable shoes and keep in mind that there aren't any trash cans on the beach. Despite some of the challenges, the hotel does its best to provide a great beach experience.
