Dorma Almada Porto falls short of the typical four-star expectations. Several guests have highlighted that the hotel lacks certain amenities, such as cotton balls and q-tips and mentioned that the bathrooms are quite small. Furthermore, the use of paper cups and leaning mattresses not being true double beds detract from the expected luxury. Many reviewers feel the establishment needs significant improvements to genuinely reflect a four-star rating, some even comparing it to a three-star or lower. However, there is still a consensus that the hotel's value lies in its strong emphasis on human values, making it a viable option for those seeking warm and attentive service despite its other shortcomings.

Many reviews praise the hotel for being a great option in terms of room quality, location and overall comfort. Guests often highlight the high standards of the facilities and services provided, affirming that the hotel delivers well on its four-star promises. Cleanliness, in particular, receives consistent commendation.
