Olga's House in Florence boasts a prime central location, right in the heart of the city's old town, making it a fantastic spot for exploring nearby attractions including the iconic David statue. Guests repeatedly highlight the unbeatable convenience of being so centrally placed, which allows easy access to all that Florence has to offer.
However, the hotel’s facilities seem better suited to younger travelers. The absence of an elevator and the need to climb three steep flights of stairs to reach the rooms present a significant obstacle for older guests or those with mobility issues. These steep stairs have been a concern for many guests, who also noted the lack of clear signage.
The rooms are generally considered satisfactory, although some reviews indicate they may not meet everyone’s comfort and cleanliness expectations. The automated check-in process is modern but seems to have a few kinks that need ironing out. Additionally, some guests felt inconvenienced by additional charges, such as the 5 euro fee for locker use after check-out, a service commonly offered for free elsewhere.
Despite a few drawbacks, the location of Olga's House remains its most attractive feature, especially for young adventurers looking for an affordable stay right in the heart of Florence.
