Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Campanile Arras - Saint-Nicolas hotel offers a blend of insightful reviews that highlight many positive aspects and some areas for improvement. Guests appreciate its convenient location in a quiet suburb near the motorway, which is ideal for travelers heading south on the Autoroute or stopping over en route to the UK. The secure, ample parking and pet-friendly amenities, along with easy access to Arras city center and early check-in options, enhance the overall experience. While the setting in an industrial area isn't scenic, the practical benefits often outweigh this for many visitors.
Breakfast receives generally positive feedback for its hearty and generous offerings, well-organized buffet and variety catering to different dietary preferences. Guests particularly enjoyed the high-quality pastries, though some noted issues with replenishment and occasional freshness. Dinner also garners approval for its quality and atmosphere, despite limitations in menu variety and occasional unavailability during weekends or specific evenings.
Rooms are frequently praised for their comfort and cleanliness with guests appreciating the good bedding, effective heating and functional design. However, some reviews indicate a need for renovation and better maintenance, mentioning issues like darkness, occasional bad smells and insufficient heating or lighting. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff contribute significantly to a positive stay with many guests commending their professionalism and willingness to assist.
Cleanliness overall is noted positively, yet some guests reported instances of mold, dirty carpets and subpar bathroom conditions. The friendly and hospitable nature of the staff consistently receives high praise, creating a welcoming and peaceful environment.
WiFi quality is a mixed bag with some guests finding it fast and reliable, while others experience connectivity issues, particularly in guest rooms. Parking facilities are appreciated for being secure, spacious and conveniently located, though some concerns about nighttime security were mentioned. The comfort of the beds is a standout feature, often highlighted for their high quality, which contributes to restful nights, despite occasional minor issues.
In summary, Campanile Arras - Saint-Nicolas offers a generally positive stay with comfortable rooms, excellent staff and good amenities, making it a favored choice for many travelers. The hotel could improve in areas such as room maintenance, WiFi reliability and breakfast quality to further enhance the guest experience.
