Crouchers Hotel offers a charming and convenient location, making it an excellent choice for a short getaway. Guests consistently highlight its suitability for brief stays, thanks to its excellent positioning and overall comfort. The hotel has a reputation for delivering a pleasant experience, with many guests expressing a willingness to return.
However, some aspects fall short of the four-star expectation. While the establishment functions as a bed and breakfast, which some travelers found limiting, the food service gap between 3 pm and 7 pm poses an inconvenience, especially when bar meals are advertised but unavailable during this time. Other areas raised eyebrows, such as housekeeping issues like stained carpets, non-functional room furnishings, and the lack of standard amenities like in-room safes.
Moreover, some guests felt the breakfast offerings, particularly the filter coffee, didn't align with a four-star standard, with additional charges required for more premium options. Although the hotel manages to provide a pleasant experience, a few guests felt that the attention to fine details could elevate their stay to match the advertised four-star level.
