Hasseröder Burghotel is a great choice for travelers looking for a convenient location to explore the wonders of Wernigerode. The hotel offers guests plenty of opportunities for sightseeing and outdoor activities with an impressive view of the Brocken mountain. The breakfast is a highlight for many guests with a super rich and delicious spread of options available for all tastes. The hotel staff is accommodating, especially to children and the hotel's medieval theme is impressively executed with great attention to detail. The hotel is also a great choice for travelers who prioritize cleanliness during their stay with bright, well-equipped and very clean rooms. The staff is friendly, helpful and competent and the hotel's child-friendliness is a big plus for families with young ones. While the dinner experience has received a mixed response from guests, the buffet option for dinner was enjoyed by many. The small spa area has received mixed reviews, but the excellent cosmetic treatments and great wellness offers have been complimented. Overall, Hasseröder Burghotel is a great choice for travelers looking for a clean, well-maintained and tidy environment with impeccable service.

Hasseröder Ferienpark receives high praise for its exceptional location nestled in the picturesque Harz Mountains. The serene and idyllic setting at the forest’s edge offers peace and tranquility, making it ideal for families, especially those with young children and dogs. Its central position provides an excellent starting point for hiking enthusiasts and explorers with well-signposted trails and numerous excursion destinations easily accessible. The charming nearby town of Wernigerode and the unique proximity to the Brockenbahn steam train add cultural and adventurous flair to the nature-centric experience.
The breakfast at Hasseröder Ferienpark is favorably reviewed for its good quality and variety. Guests appreciate the extensive and rich buffet, fresh crispy rolls, ample fruit and vegetables and gluten-free options. Despite some complaints regarding overcrowding and occasional cleanliness issues, it generally offers a reliable and sufficient start to the day.
Dining experiences at the on-site restaurant receive mixed reviews. While many guests find the food delicious and satisfactory, particularly the pizza and fast food offerings, the overall quality is often described as mediocre with a fast-food vibe. The restaurant is praised for being budget-friendly and child-friendly, offering free meals for children at the lunch buffet. However, it lacks a cozy atmosphere and service can be slow during busy periods.
Accommodations at Hasseröder Ferienpark are generally considered spacious, charming and well-situated next to a pond. The holiday homes provide ample space and include child-friendly amenities like an indoor playground and swimming pool. Despite some issues with outdated furnishings and cleanliness, the rooms are frequently praised for being spacious, well-designed and functional, making them a good choice for a relaxed family vacation.
Cleanliness at Hasseröder Ferienpark has mixed reviews. While some guests find the accommodations and swimming pool clean, others report significant issues such as cobwebs, dust, vermin and superficial cleaning. The need for more thorough and consistent hygiene practices is evident across various areas.
The staff at Hasseröder Ferienpark consistently receive positive feedback for their friendliness and helpfulness. Staff members are noted for their accommodating nature across different areas, including the reception, restaurant and swimming pool.
The WiFi service at Hasseröder Ferienpark is another point of mixed feedback. While some guests report a strong and reliable connection, others experience intermittent issues and occasional difficulties getting online. Overall, the park provides WiFi services, but the quality may vary.
The swimming pool is a highlight, especially for families with its well-maintained facilities and water slide being popular among children. However, the pool can get crowded and noisy and the water tends to be on the colder side, particularly in the children’s and baby pools.
Parking at Hasseröder Ferienpark receives mixed reviews. While ample parking spaces and the convenience of parking near the houses are appreciated, the limited availability during peak times and inconvenient distances for additional parking are noted frustrations.
The winter sports facilities receive positive reviews for the park’s strategic location, providing direct connections to nearby ski resorts and excellent sledding destinations. Despite minor concerns about snow clearance, it offers an enjoyable and relaxed winter getaway.
Bed comfort at Hasseröder Ferienpark generally falls short of expectations. Issues with bed stability, narrow sizes, varying levels of mattress comfort and the poor condition of pillows and bed linens are common complaints.
Overall, Hasseröder Ferienpark offers a blend of natural beauty, family-friendly amenities and convenience. While some areas like cleanliness and bed comfort could benefit from improvement, the park remains an ideal spot for a restful yet activity-packed getaway in the Harz region.
