Islander Hotel & Resort provides an experience that aligns with its three-star rating. The hotel's strengths lie in its good location and reasonable pricing, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers. Renovated rooms are spacious and clean with balconies providing a pleasant addition to the accommodations. The pool area is also a notable feature, contributing to the overall appeal of the property.
Despite being an older, remodeled property, there are some areas where improvements could be made. Guests have noted issues with basic amenities such as a lack of hangers in the closet, problematic dresser drawers and periodic plumbing issues including leaking and non-flushing toilets. Housekeeping appears to be inconsistent with reports of sandy floors and a lack of coffee replacements.
Customer service has also been highlighted as an area that could use enhancement to meet the expectations of its three-star status. However, for those seeking a clean, spacious room at a good price and not expecting luxury or premium services, Islander Hotel & Resort is a reasonable choice.
