Britannia Hotel Bolton offers a mixed experience for business travelers. The hotel is considered ideal for a business trip due to its convenient location, especially for those with ties in Bolton. Free Wi-Fi is available, but the quality of the internet connection has been reported as unreliable, which could be problematic for those relying on it for work. The facilities are somewhat dated, evoking a sense of the 1970s and parts of the car park require maintenance.
Rooms are noted to be simple and clean, providing good value for money with competitive pricing. However, opinions on the room rates are varied with some guests feeling they received value for what they paid while others found the rates expensive. Grant, a staff member, receives praise for his helpfulness, particularly for going above and beyond to assist with business needs in the early morning hours.
Overall, while the hotel may suffice for an overnight working stay or for contractors, the inconsistent internet service might be a deterrent for business travelers who need reliable connectivity.
