Guests frequently praise the cleanliness and modernity of the hotel with rooms described as clean, spacious and well-maintained. The comfort of the beds, new furniture, good air conditioning and effective showers contribute significantly to a restful stay. While smaller room sizes and maintenance issues are occasionally noted, these are generally outweighed by the positive aspects.
The breakfast at ibis Rio Porto Atlantico is largely well-received for its variety and freshness, although it is served at the neighboring Novotel, which can sometimes cause confusion and adds to the expense. Similarly, dinner options, also available at the Novotel, receive accolades for quality but are highlighted as being somewhat pricey with slow service. Cleanliness is a standout aspect with both the rooms and common areas receiving frequent commendations. While there are occasional issues such as remnants from previous guests and specific maintenance problems, the hotel's overall clean and organized environment is well-regarded.
Guests provide mixed feedback on the free WiFi with some experiencing strong and reliable connections, while others face frequent disruptions and weak signals. The parking facilities are positively noted for being secure, covered and reasonably priced, though the separate charge and distance from the hotel reception are minor inconveniences.
For families, the hotel is seen more as a suitable option for short stays or business trips rather than extended family vacations, due to limited room space and lack of on-site children's activities.
In summary, the ibis Rio Porto Atlantico offers a clean, modern and comfortable stay with a strong emphasis on location convenience and friendly service. Despite some minor areas needing improvement, the overall experience is positive, making it a solid option, particularly for travelers with specific logistical needs or shorter visits to Rio.
