Le Jean-Sébastien Bach offers a welcoming environment for guests with disabilities. The hotel stands out for its 24/7 accessibility with bedside outlets easily accessible and spacious, impeccably clean facilities that accommodate wheelchair users. Public transportation options are conveniently available, ensuring guests can navigate the local area without difficulty. Although the neighborhood is quiet and safe, it is slightly distant from the city center. Hotel Esplanade offers various features that make it accessible for guests with disabilities. The presence of convenient elevators and elevators available to all floors ensures that moving around within the hotel is manageable for guests with limited mobility. The parking area is unobstructed and coordinates well with disability-friendly rooms. Additionally, accessible rooms come with facilities like open showers, which though rendered for disabled guests, occasionally have issues with closing shower doors.
The hotel is ideally located, providing excellent access to public transportation. It's conveniently next to a tram stop with three tram lines that pass just 50 meters away, allowing guests easy movement across the city. This makes it suitable for guests who prefer not to use a car. Specific trams can get guests to key locations like the cathedral within nine minutes.
However, reviews mention certain accessibility challenges, such as small steps and the necessity for improvements in disabled access. Notably, some areas are only reachable via the basement and there is no assistance available for entering or exiting the hotel. Despite the slight aging of the building and a lack of air conditioning which may affect comfort for some disabled guests, the hotel ensures good wheelchair accessibility and facilities adapted for reduced mobility.
Overall, Hotel Esplanade comes across as a largely accessible hotel with key conveniences and a central location, although it could benefit from further accessibility improvements, particularly concerning entry and exit assistance and addressing some minor inaccessibility issues.

Château de Pourtalès offers a charming experience with its beautiful park and historic castle, but those with mobility issues might face some challenges. Although the modern annex of the hotel features an elevator for easy access to upper floors, the older sections lack this convenience, posing difficulties for guests who require mobility assistance. Many rooms are situated on higher floors, accessible only by steep or narrow staircases, making them unsuitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.
Despite these challenges, some rooms and facilities are accessible and available accessible rooms have been noted as appropriate albeit somewhat small. The hotel enjoys a convenient location, close to the Strasbourg city center with easy access via tram and bus, as well as ample parking options for those traveling by car. However, the check-in area is narrow and might pose difficulties when handling luggage.
While the garden walks and surrounding areas are pleasant and the connection to public transport makes it easy to explore the region, the accessibility of the hotel, particularly in the older parts, remains a consistent issue. An elevator or more accessible pathways could significantly enhance the experience for guests with disabilities.
