Ocean Reef Hotel offers great value for its price, making it a good cost-benefit choice for travelers on a budget. While it may not be fancy, it's a fair budget option and overall affordable. The hotel is decently maintained and serves well as a base for exploring the area. For a three-star establishment, it is generally well-regarded, though guests should not expect anything exceptional. The rooms are spacious and equipped with amenities necessary to prepare breakfast, though the hotel does not provide breakfast service. The exterior may appear run-down and some have likened it to a travel lodge or two-star motel, but for the price, it offers good service value and a satisfactory overall stay.

The Fort Lauderdale Grand Hotel offers mid-range accommodations that provide good value for budget-conscious travelers. Guests have commented on the big and spacious rooms, which are a notable feature. However, there seems to be a consensus that the hotel does not quite measure up to a three-star rating with some suggesting the rating is misleading. A few reviews indicate that the cleanliness and overall condition of the hotel could be improved and renovations may be necessary to meet typical three-star standards. Despite its shortcomings, the hotel does offer a pool, adding a pleasant amenity for guests looking to relax and unwind. Overall, it serves as a decent option for those seeking affordable stays, though there may be better three-star hotels in the area.
