The Crowne Plaza Newark Airport by IHG, presents a blend of both positive and less favorable characteristics as a four-star property. Many guest reviews affirm that the hotel generally provides the expected experience associated with a four-star rating with numerous facilities and services that are in line with this classification. The hotel is often praised for its cleanliness and considered a convenient stay, particularly for those needing proximity to the airport.
However, while the arrangement and service quality can reflect a four-star standard, aspects such as dated and dark rooms detract from the overall experience, making some guests feel it falls short of its promise. The building itself shows signs of age, which further impacts perceptions. Some specific elements, like the breakfast buffet, are noted to be underwhelming for a four-star hotel, leading to mixed opinions about the value provided.
In summary, although the Crowne Plaza Newark Airport maintains multiple four-star characteristics and is advantageous for its location and cleanliness, its aged facilities and certain service shortcomings suggest room for improvement to fully meet four-star expectations.
