Many guests have praised its central location, making it easy to access key downtown attractions. The rooms are frequently described as very spacious, contributing positively to the overall guest experience. The hotel features amenities like valet parking, adding to its convenience. However, some reviewers felt the reception hall was small for a hotel of its claimed caliber. The Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown offers a mixed experience with both praise and criticism from guests. Many found it to be a good city hotel and appreciated the standard integration of four-star amenities. It’s seen as a decent, modern hotel that offers the facilities one would expect from a four-star establishment. Guests also acknowledged the helpful front desk staff and the hotel's optimal location as standout features.
Recent renovations have added lovely features to the hotel, aligning with the four-star rating. There’s also mention of a small breakfast café that provides to-go treats, making it excellent for a quick breakfast, though some guests noted the absence of a full breakfast facility.
However, several guests felt the hotel did not fully meet four-star expectations. Criticisms included the feeling that the service and room cleanliness did not align with a four-star standard with some rooms not being cleaned by late afternoon. Moreover, some guests felt that the overall experience was not reflective of the cost, describing the hotel as very expensive for what was provided.
In summary, while the Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown maintains several qualities of a four-star hotel—like modern facilities and helpful staff—there are notable areas for improvement, particularly regarding room upkeep and value for money.
