Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hotel Exsel Alamanda welcomes guests with a prime location near the idyllic beaches of St. Gilles, offering convenient access to casinos, restaurants, shops and vibrant nightlife. The hotel's serene, lush green garden and distinctive Creole architecture enhance its exotic charm. The staff's warm, friendly and professional demeanor contributes significantly to the positive atmosphere, making for a welcoming experience.
The hotel's pool is another highlight, particularly appreciated during cooler months for its warmth and cleanliness, creating a tranquil retreat surrounded by nature. Guests enjoy the general cleanliness in both communal areas and individual rooms, although the latter are often described as small and lacking some amenities.
Breakfast reviews are mixed; while some guests find it satisfactory, others feel it lacks variety and is overpriced. Dinner options receive praise for food quality, especially at the Italian restaurant, despite some complaints about the limited and overpriced buffet.
Parking facilities are secure but limited in space, suggesting a need for future visitors to plan accordingly. Most guests find the beds very comfortable, although the practice of pushing two small beds together for doubles disrupts peaceful sleep for some.
Overall, Hotel Exsel Alamanda is recognized for its strategic location, inviting pool, diligent cleanliness and dedicated staff, making it a solid choice for visitors seeking a balance of natural beauty and convenience.
