Seawold Guest House offers a friendly and comfortable stay, capturing the essence of a three-star establishment where guests get what they pay for. While some aspects may be seen as outdated, with decor reminiscent of the 1980s and signs of wear like peeling wallpaper and aged facilities, it still serves as a fair reflection of its current standing. Guests can expect a cozy atmosphere with basic amenities, even if the style might feel a bit tired or in need of a refresh. The property may not offer the flair or polish expected of higher-rated accommodations, but it meets the advertised expectations for a Jersey visit. Proper renovation might enhance the overall experience, aligning it more closely with contemporary standards. Despite its imperfections, Seawold Guest House maintains a reputation for providing a genuine and straightforward hospitality experience.

The Monterey Hotel, BW Signature Collection is a budget-friendly option for those looking for good value for their money, though it might not be the best choice for those seeking luxury. The hotel is located a bit far from St Helier and might not be the best fit for elderly or disabled guests. The facilities are a little bit dated and some guests reported small rooms with retro furniture, leaking showers and creaky floorboards. The basic rooms can be quite stuffy without air conditioning and even paid-for superior rooms fell short of expectations. However, despite some shortcomings, guests appreciated the hotel's reasonable pricing and overall value.
