The InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel by IHG, offers an experience that some guests have described as excellent with particular praise for exceptional service and location. The luxurious beds and beautiful property leave a positive impression. However, there is a notable divide in guest experiences. Some reviews highlight issues such as the need for a whole refurbishment, subpar service and a business center that doesn't meet five-star standards. Additionally, the lack of amenities like a proper restaurant and turn-down service, as well as some size-related issues with double beds, have been points of contention for guests expecting a true five-star experience. While the ambiance and property itself align with a five-star rating, many guests found that the service and overall experience didn't live up to the high expectations set by the hotel's category and price point.
