However, some inconsistencies in cleanliness standards and maintenance issues have been observed, such as smelly towels, worn linens, and faulty bathroom fittings, suggesting a need for more rigorous quality assurance.
The hotel's cleanliness is generally praised, with neat and well-maintained facilities, though specific concerns regarding bathroom hygiene and linens indicate areas for potential improvement.
Staff receive acclaim for their friendliness, politeness, and helpfulness, particularly at the front desk. Despite some reports of slow service and inefficiencies due to inexperienced staff, the overall willingness to assist is noted as a positive aspect.
Despite being labeled as a five-star establishment, The Fern Kolhapur faces challenges in living up to this standard. Issues with room amenities, absence of a fitness center, and service inefficiencies highlight areas for refinement. Food quality has also been criticized, with concerns over safety at the buffet's live counters.
Overall, The Fern in Kolhapur shows promise as a choice for travelers with its convenient location and pleasant service, but addressing these operational and service shortcomings could enhance the guest experience and better align with five-star expectations.
