Hotel Ibis Milano Malpensa enjoys a strategic location, highly praised for its convenience being a mere 10-minute drive from Malpensa Airport. This makes it an excellent choice for travelers with early or late flights and the hotel's shuttle service further enhances its accessibility. Though its surrounding area lacks significant attractions, the tranquil environment and clean accommodations provide a restful stay for short visits and layovers.
Guests have varied opinions about the breakfast, which starts early at 5:30 a.m. Many appreciate its generous and varied offerings, complimented by good coffee and fresh products. However, some find the €12 price a bit steep and some aspects lacking, like variety in savory options and occasional disorganization. Despite this, the breakfast staff receive positive remarks, ensuring a generally satisfactory start to the day.
Dinner options, on the other hand, are less consistent. The on-site restaurant is often closed, pushing guests to the nearby Novotel and the bar offers limited and sometimes unappealing choices. Yet, when available, the restaurant's quality and service receive good feedback.
Rooms at the hotel are typically clean, comfortable and functional with a minimalist, modern design. Guests appreciate the tidiness and practicality, suitable for short stays. While some rooms are small and basic with occasional issues like malfunctioning air conditioning or dated furniture, the bathrooms are generally praised for their cleanliness and size.
Cleanliness is predominantly noted as positive with most guests finding their rooms clean and cozy. However, some reviews mention occasional lapses in maintenance and hygiene, suggesting an area for improvement.
The hotel staff significantly enhance guest experiences with their professionalism, kindness and helpfulness, leaving a lasting positive impression. Although there are occasional mentions of unsociable behavior, the majority of feedback highlights the staff's excellent service.
WiFi service at the hotel receives mixed reviews. While some guests find the connection reliable and fast, others encounter slow speeds and unstable access. Adding to guest dissatisfaction is the need to sometimes pay for WiFi, despite its sometimes inconsistent performance.
Parking facilities at the hotel are highly commended, offering ample, secure and convenient options, both free and at a nominal fee, which is particularly beneficial for travelers leaving their cars parked during trips.
The comfort of the beds has mixed feedback. Some guests find them very comfortable and conducive to a good night's rest, while others criticize them for being too hard or uncomfortable, especially when beds are combined singles or third beds are used.
Overall, as a three-star establishment, Hotel Ibis Milano Malpensa provides a clean and strategic option for travelers, especially for short stays and airport proximity. While it offers good value for money, some feel the extra costs for certain amenities detract from this. Business travelers find it practical and efficient, especially for brief stays requiring quick airport access.
