Hotel Iris offers both positive and negative experiences based on various review categories. Guests often appreciate the hotel's accurate representation in photos and its cleanliness, though it is located in an industrial area near the highway and about 5 km from the city center. This makes it ideal for those with cars or attending nearby events but less suitable for guests seeking central access and nearby amenities.
The breakfast at Hotel Iris receives mixed reviews. Positive feedback includes decent pricing and elements such as freshly baked croissants and hearty offerings. However, many guests have reported issues with breakfast availability and quality, frequently facing logistical problems and poor communication.
Rooms at Hotel Iris are noted for their spaciousness and comfortable beds. There is always staff available to greet guests, even late into the night. Nevertheless, there are prevalent complaints about cleanliness, including cigarette smells in non-smoking rooms, dirty bathrooms, mold and insufficient amenities. The old and minimal furnishings, along with a noisy ventilation system, detract from the overall experience.
Cleanliness remains a recurrent issue with numerous reports of dust, dirty sinks and insect encounters, highlighting the need for improved housekeeping. The lobby does not escape these critiques, facing issues with noise and cleanliness.
The staff at Hotel Iris receive commendations for being kind, helpful and friendly. However, there are occasional reports of rudeness and unhelpfulness, particularly from some receptionists, though attempts to address problems, like offering refunds, are appreciated.
Wi-Fi connectivity is inconsistent with many guests experiencing weak or nonexistent signals in their rooms. Some have found better connectivity in the reception area, where the internet is notably faster when available.
Despite the varied reviews, the comfortable beds stand out as a significant positive aspect, even though cleanliness issues around the beds and bedding have been noted. Overall, Hotel Iris has room for improvement in terms of maintenance and service consistency but offers some commendable traits worth considering.
