Montaldo Castle & Resort, situated in the picturesque hills of Turin, offers a unique and charming stay enhanced by its architecturally interesting structure and expansive park with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The tranquil and historically rich setting provides a perfect base for those looking to explore both nature and nearby attractions like Turin.
Guests generally find the breakfast buffet abundant and satisfying with fresh fruit, quality meats and good coffee being highlights. Though some reviewers express concerns about industrial products and service flows, the overall morning meal experience is positive. Dinner experiences are mixed with many appreciating the delicious cuisine and attentive service, while others feel the food quality and price do not always align. The lovely dining atmosphere often earns commendations despite some issues with food temperature and portion sizes.
The rooms at Montaldo Castle & Resort are spacious, clean and well-appointed, seamlessly blending modern decor with historic charm. Upgraded suite options with amenities like whirlpool baths are particularly appreciated. Minor issues such as occasional noise disturbances and mismatched online room representations are noted but do not significantly detract from the overall comfort and coziness. Cleanliness in most areas is praised, though some guests highlight areas needing attention, including the spa and pool facilities.
The spa is a valued aspect of the resort, offering various relaxation amenities such as Turkish baths, hot tubs and sensory paths set against beautiful views. Maintenance and cleanliness, particularly of the outdoor pool and spa equipment, could be improved to enhance the overall experience. The indoor pools, while adequate, also require some refurbishing to meet guest expectations fully.
Staff at the resort receive varied feedback with many guests praising their friendly and professional demeanor. Some issues with efficiency and communication are mentioned, especially in the spa services. Nevertheless, the warmth and helpfulness of the staff contribute positively to the welcoming atmosphere.
Parking arrangements at the resort are noted as inconvenient with the lot situated a distance from the main facilities and described as a muddy field lacking security and amenities such as umbrellas for inclement weather. Improvement in this area would significantly enhance the guest experience.
Lastly, the comfort of the beds is widely commended, though the pillows often fall short of expectations with many guests finding them too flat or soft. Overall, Montaldo Castle & Resort provides a delightful and memorable stay enriched by its historical setting, excellent staff and numerous amenities, though there are areas where improvements could augment the overall quality of the experience.
