Hotel Athina consistently receives high marks for its prime location, which successfully balances accessibility and tranquility. Guests appreciate the easy walking distances to the city center, beach, restaurants and shops, as well as the quiet setting away from noisy main streets. The convenient positioning close to local attractions without the need for transportation adds to the appeal of the hotel.
The cleanliness of Hotel Athina emerges as a significant highlight with both rooms and common areas such as the pool and private beach being meticulously maintained. Guests commend the hotel's attention to hygiene and fresh linens, which contribute to a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.
The hotel's dining options generally satisfy guests, particularly with quality dinners emphasizing tasty, well-prepared meals at reasonable prices. The fish dishes are often singled out for special praise. Although there is a slight call for greater variety, the overall dining experience remains positive. Breakfast, however, tends to receive mixed reviews with some guests noting its simplicity and the need for more options and freshness.
The staff at Hotel Athina is another strong point, frequently praised for their friendliness, professionalism and attentiveness. Their willingness to assist and proficient communication skills, particularly in English, contribute to a warm and inviting guest experience.
Rooms at Hotel Athina are described as clean and well-equipped, although there is some variability in size and condition. Comfort is generally assured with amenities such as sinks, refrigerators and comfortable beds. Some minor issues like cramped quarters, occasional noise and dated furniture are mentioned, but the overall sentiment remains positive, especially given the budget-friendly nature of the accommodations.
The swimming pool is a standout feature, appreciated for its cleanliness, ample size and the provision of both shallow and deep areas. Guests enjoy the well-maintained pool environment, making it a popular spot for relaxation.
For families, Hotel Athina proves to be an excellent choice, thanks to its family-friendly atmosphere, amenities and the attentive service by the staff. The separate children's pool and play areas, along with various family-oriented facilities, ensure a pleasant stay for guests of all ages.
Pet owners will also find Hotel Athina accommodating, as it is noted for being dog-friendly with a dedicated dog area and a welcoming attitude towards pets.
Additional conveniences include ample, secure and free parking, enhancing the overall worry-free experience for guests with vehicles.
Despite some areas for improvement, such as the quality and variety of the breakfast, occasional lapses in service during dinner and the inconsistent performance of the Wi-Fi, Hotel Athina effectively delivers a clean, comfortable and welcoming stay with good value, especially for families and budget-conscious travelers.
