Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Deer Resort presents a serene retreat for nature lovers, nestled in a remote area surrounded by farmland and trees, ensuring a peaceful stay away from urban chaos. Its proximity to attractions like the Grand Canyon Waterpark and the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek botanical garden adds to its allure, though the considerable distance from Chiang Mai's city center can be a drawback for some.
Breakfast receives mixed feedback with guests appreciating the inclusion and Thai-style dishes, but many criticize it for lacking variety and value. Dinner, though praised for quality, suffers from limited hours and menu options, leading some to seek clarifications in advance.
The rooms generally receive favorable reviews, highlighted for their spaciousness, comfort and elegant decor, though mentions of occasional maintenance issues and noise from the pool area note room for improvement. Cleanliness overall garners praise, especially the daily cleaning routines, but some areas still appear to need better maintenance.
The staff is universally praised as a major asset, described as incredibly kind, helpful and attentive, significantly enhancing the guest experience. The pool is another highlight, celebrated for its size, cleanliness and pleasing amenities, although occasional maintenance issues and mosquitoes by the pool are noted setbacks.
The beds at the resort are mostly evaluated as comfortable and conducive to restful sleep, but a minority of guests have reported issues with bed quality. Despite best attempts to market itself as a five-star establishment, the consensus is that The Deer Resort falls short, aligning more closely with a two or three-star experience. Nonetheless, it remains a recommendable option for those seeking a tranquil stay and excellent service.
