Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Bell Inn Hotel is a charming 4-star hotel located in the heart of the New Forest, making it the perfect base for exploring the splendid countryside and attractions in the Dorset/Devon area. Guests have highlighted that the location is great for exploring the New Forest and are impressed by the hotel's attractive traditional decor that complements the surrounding countryside. The hotel offers great breakfast options that guests rave about with vegetarian options available, although the continental selection is small. The hotel also has a gastropub-style restaurant that offers excellent food, but some guests experienced long waits and limited options from the menu. The rooms are clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, although some may be on the small side or lack storage space. The hotel receives high praise for its cleanliness with guests repeatedly commenting on the hotel's clean and tidy appearance. The staff is exceptionally friendly, accommodating and professional with most guests appreciating their helpfulness and attentive nature. The hotel is an excellent choice for travellers with pets, as it offers many dog-friendly amenities, including a goodie bag and a fenced garden for pets to roam around, although there are some restrictions. The hotel's Wi-Fi signal was reported to be unreliable and poor, so guests who require a strong and steady internet connection may need to plan accordingly. The beds have mixed reviews with some guests finding them very comfortable, while others reported uncomfortable mattresses or pillows. Overall, The Bell Inn Hotel offers a great option for those seeking a welcoming and tidy stay in beautiful surroundings.
