Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Wilshire Grand Hotel offers a clean, comfortable stay with a prime location and friendly staff. Situated just 20 minutes from New York City, the hotel provides easy access to nearby attractions like Newark, Jersey City, Montclair and Verona Park. The serene setting and amenities like an electric car charging station make it a convenient choice for varied travel needs.
Rooms are frequently praised for being spacious, well-maintained and clean with comfortable beds and sizeable bathrooms. Many rooms come equipped with microwaves and small refrigerators, adding to their convenience. Despite some comments about outdated furnishings, the overall cleanliness and roominess make for a pleasant stay.
The hotel's breakfast buffet receives mixed reviews. While guests appreciate the variety and freshness of options like omelets, bacon and fresh fruit, there are noted gaps such as limited dietary options and occasional issues with food quality and timing.
Cleanliness is a standout feature with common areas and rooms consistently described as immaculate. This high level of hygiene contributes to a relaxing environment, supported further by the hotel's quiet setting.
Staff at The Wilshire Grand Hotel earn high marks for their friendliness and professionalism. Whether highlighted by specific mentions of team members going above and beyond or the general welcoming atmosphere created at check-in, the staff play a significant role in guests' positive experiences.
However, the WiFi service is a recurring disappointment. Many guests report unreliable and poor-quality connections, which can be particularly inconvenient for international travelers. The inconsistent internet service is a notable drawback amidst an otherwise commendable offering.
While the comfort of the beds also shows variability with some guests finding them overly soft or hard and others praising their comfort, this inconsistency doesn't overshadow the numerous positive experiences.
Overall, The Wilshire Grand Hotel is well-regarded for its location, cleanliness, friendly staff and room quality, making it a favorable choice for both short and extended stays.
