Visitors appreciate its proximity to shopping centers, restaurants, and the CTrain station, which facilitates quick access to downtown and sites like Stampede Park. The hotel is well-regarded for its value for money, strategically positioned as a hub for exploring Calgary while offering ample parking and a clean, quiet environment with a relaxing pool.
Guests consistently praise the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, highlighting their ability to create a welcoming atmosphere and provide efficient service. The front desk staff are especially noted for their attentiveness, contributing to a feeling of being valued and well-cared for. Amenities such as fridges and microwaves in rooms enhance the convenience factor, although some guests have reported issues with air conditioning and noise due to thin walls.
Cleanliness is often cited as one of Amenida's strengths, supported by diligent housekeeping despite the hotel's dated appearance. The cleanliness of rooms and bathrooms often exceeds expectations. The hotel's affordability, especially during peak periods such as the Stampede event, adds to its appeal, offering a solid cost-benefit ratio.
Overall, while some areas like maintenance and communication could see improvement, Amenida Residences remains a preferred and practical choice in Calgary, celebrated for its location, welcoming staff, and great value for money.
