Campanile Melun Sud - Dammarie les Lys garners a generally positive reputation among its guests, primarily for its advantageous location, comfortable accommodations and friendly staff. Situated near Melun, the hotel is conveniently located for those attending local events, partaking in leisure activities or exploring nearby attractions such as the Fontainebleau Forest and local castles. The quiet, accessible setting adds to its appeal, making it suitable for both leisure and business travelers.
Guests often commend the breakfast buffet for its variety, generous quantities and quality, contributing to a pleasant start of the day. The option to dine on a terrace and the clean dining environment further enhance the breakfast experience, although some suggest incremental additions such as better bread and scrambled eggs. Conversely, the dinner experience receives mixed reviews with some finding the meals decent and affordable, while others criticize the quality and limited choices. The restaurant's limited operating hours and occasional stock management issues also present areas for improvement.

Visitors appreciate the comfortable bedding, spacious bathrooms and practical amenities like desks and hot drink supplies. The presence of family rooms and pet-friendly policies also stands out as notable benefits. However, some guests encounter issues such as small room sizes, occasional noise and areas in need of renovation. Cleanliness across the hotel is generally well-maintained, though there are occasional reports of lapses such as dirty bathrooms or stained carpets.

Parking is another strong point with guests valuing the secure, ample and free parking spaces available on-site.
The hotel offers a decent environment for family stays, though space in family rooms can be tight.
