Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Casa Morales Hotel Internacional y Centro de Convenciones enjoys a prime location in the heart of Ibagué, providing guests with easy access to museums, restaurants, pharmacies, shops and Plaza Bolivar. This central positioning affords a tranquil and safe experience, highly valued by families and solo travelers. The hotel's location also offers excellent views, particularly of the mountains, which can be admired from spacious rooms and balconies.
The hotel's breakfast offerings receive significant praise. Guests find the breakfast to be excellent, delicious and served with a high level of quality and variety. The breakfast buffet is commended for its comprehensiveness and the staff's friendliness further enhances the experience. Though some guests noted a need for more variety and occasional additional charges, the overall feedback on breakfast remains overwhelmingly positive.
Dinner also earns positive remarks for its tasty dishes, generous portions and reasonable pricing. The restaurant's spacious area and generally attentive staff contribute to a pleasant dining experience, despite occasional slow service.
The rooms are appreciated for their spaciousness, comfort and exceptional views. However, the décor and furnishings are noted as outdated with some issues such as humidity problems and insufficient maintenance in common areas. Despite these drawbacks, many guests find the rooms clean, bright and very comfortable.
Cleanliness across the hotel is generally well-regarded with many guests noting the hotel's tidy and organized state. However, specific areas, especially in some rooms and the pool area, require better maintenance. Even with these issues, the staff's diligence in maintaining cleanliness is appreciated.
The hotel's staff consistently receive high praise for their friendliness and excellent service. Guests highlight the staff's attentiveness and dedication to ensuring a pleasant stay, contributing significantly to the positive experience at the hotel.
On the downside, the hotel's Wi-Fi service is frequently criticized for being unreliable and difficult to connect to, particularly in guest rooms and on the fourth floor. The indoor pool, while appreciated for being relaxing and family-friendly, also needs better maintenance with issues like cold water and cleanliness concerns mentioned.
The beds garner mixed reviews with some guests finding them very comfortable while others describe them as hard and outdated. This suggests a need for improvement in this area.
Overall, while Casa Morales Hotel Internacional y Centro de Convenciones offers a prime location, excellent breakfast and dinner, very friendly staff and spacious rooms, it falls short of the five-star expectations due to issues with outdated facilities, maintenance and unreliable internet. Nevertheless, the general sentiment among guests remains positive with many expressing satisfaction particularly because of the hotel’s strategic location and the staff's commitment to exceptional service.
