Complejo Turístico La Garganta is lauded as a top-tier choice for travelers, particularly those keen on exploring the iconic Caminito del Rey. Its unbeatable location at the trail's end, coupled with convenient access to the El Chorro train station and shuttle buses, offers seamless connectivity for guests. The hotel is harmoniously situated amidst stunning natural landscapes, providing breathtaking views of the reservoir and mountains from the pool and restaurant terrace. This beautifully converted old mill combines historical charm with modern amenities, offering a tranquil retreat ideal for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts.
The breakfast service garners mixed reviews but is generally appreciated for its quality and traditional Spanish offerings. Despite some guests finding the service slow and late starting times inconvenient, the hearty, freshly made dishes are often praised. Dinner experiences also vary; while many enjoy the delicious, well-presented meals and scenic terrace views, others note occasional service delays and menu discrepancies.
Rooms at La Garganta are commended for their unique decorative touches and thematic designs, offering a cozy and memorable stay. Cleanliness is consistently highlighted with rooms and common areas described as immaculately maintained. However, some practical drawbacks, such as narrow spiral staircases and limited soundproofing, are noted.
The staff’s friendliness and professionalism enhance the overall guest experience. While there are instances of perceived disorganization, the majority of guests appreciate the attentive and helpful service.
The hotel's outdoor amenities, especially the pool, receive high praise for their spectacular views and cleanliness. The pool area is described as a relaxing haven to unwind after a hike. Parking facilities are convenient, free and ample, further adding to the guest convenience.
Families find Complejo Turístico La Garganta particularly appealing due to its spacious, well-equipped rooms and family-friendly environment. While the restaurant menu can be pricey and not entirely child-friendly, the overall experience is positive, making it a recommended destination for family vacations.
In summary, Complejo Turístico La Garganta stands out for its prime location, charming ambiance and attentive service, making it a perfect getaway for those seeking a blend of adventure and relaxation in the Andalusian countryside.
