Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Ramada Encore Newcastle-Gateshead stands out for its exceptional location, making it an ideal choice for travelers wanting to explore both Newcastle and Gateshead. Situated near key attractions like the Quayside, The Sage and the Millennium Bridge, the hotel offers convenient access to cultural hotspots and public transport, enhancing its appeal for both leisure and business visits. Despite occasional construction-related challenges, guests generally find the hotel easily accessible and well-positioned.
The breakfast experience at the hotel receives high marks for its variety and quality, ranging from cooked to continental options, along with commendations for the friendly and efficient staff. Dinner offerings are similarly well-regarded with guests praising the delicious food and great value meal deals. The restaurant atmosphere is also enhanced by clean, well-maintained environs and excellent service.
Guest rooms are appreciated for their cleanliness, spaciousness and comfortable king-size beds. Although there are occasional noise and temperature control issues, the rooms are generally considered clean, functional and good value, albeit with some areas needing updates. Cleanliness is consistently highlighted as a strong point, contributing positively to the overall comfort of the stay.
The hotel staff is frequently praised for their politeness, attentiveness and professionalism, consistently enhancing guest experiences across various touchpoints including reception, dining and general services.
However, the free WiFi service wavers in performance with many noting slow speeds and inconsistent connectivity. The gym, while small, is functional and appreciated for its accessibility and equipment, offering a satisfactory space for a workout.
The hotel is also recognized as family-friendly, offering spacious and clean rooms suitable for families with children, although some guests noted the absence of bathtubs and other minor suitability issues. Beds receive mixed reviews—mostly positive for their size and comfort but occasionally noted for issues such as hardness or being too low.
Recognized as a solid three-star accommodation, the Ramada Encore Newcastle-Gateshead delivers good value for money, characterized by essential but comfortable amenities and friendly service. Though not luxurious, it meets the needs of budget-conscious travelers and temporary stays well. Its business-friendly environment, coupled with functional room designs and accessibility, makes it a pragmatic choice for business visitors despite some noted drawbacks like poor in-room lighting and variable WiFi quality.
Overall, the Ramada Encore Newcastle-Gateshead is a well-rounded, budget-friendly choice with a strong emphasis on location, cleanliness, friendly staff and overall value for money.
