Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hostal Curiñan offers a serene retreat just outside Otavalo on a charming hillside, providing guests with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding volcanoes, mountains, and the town below. The slightly elevated location, while requiring a short climb, ensures a peaceful escape from urban noise and rewards visitors with breathtaking vistas, making it a worthwhile experience.
Mornings at Hostal Curiñan begin with a highly praised breakfast, offering a range of delicious options such as scrambled eggs, warm bread, and fresh juices. Served with excellent service, these hearty meals prepare guests for their day ahead. While some note the simplicity, the effectiveness and quality of these breakfasts are lauded, often being a highlight of the stay.
The hostel's rooms are noted for their immaculate cleanliness and cozy ambience. Spacious and well-appointed, they provide a relaxing space with wonderful views of Otavalo and its surroundings. The attention to detail in decor and amenities like hot showers and comfortable beds further enhance the stay, ensuring guests feel snug and well-cared-for. The friendly and welcoming management and staff, especially José, contribute significantly to the pleasant experience, offering attentiveness and insightful local recommendations that make visitors feel valued and connected.
Overall, Hostal Curiñan excels in providing a clean, comfortable, and picturesque environment where guest comfort is a priority, particularly through the ambience, bedding, and the warm hospitality extended by the family-run establishment. The occasional mention of a bed being average is overshadowed by the overall high standards of the facilities and service. This charming hostal consistently offers a unique and memorable stay that feels like a home away from home.
