La Quinta by Wyndham Stamford / New York City is widely appreciated for its strategic and convenient location, offering guests effortless access to major highways and proximity to downtown Stamford. This makes it a favorable base for exploring nearby attractions, including New York City and New Jersey. Guests value its affordability, considering it a budget-friendly choice compared to other accommodations in the vicinity. The hotel's welcoming staff and newly remodeled facilities add to the positive experience, with free parking and an adjacent diner offering additional convenience for travelers.
The hotel's breakfast offerings receive a mix of feedback, yet many guests appreciate the variety, including options like biscuits, eggs, sausage, and freshly made waffles. While there are calls for improved consistency and a more robust hot breakfast selection, the breakfast remains a commendable inclusion for the price, with friendly staff enhancing the experience.
Rooms at La Quinta are noted for their generous space, cleanliness, and comfort, particularly the beds. However, the property shows some signs of age, with certain areas needing renovations and occasional noise issues due to its proximity to highways. Cleanliness in some common areas also requires attention, though the tranquil pool area provides a pleasant retreat.
Staff interactions are generally positive, with many guests praising the friendliness and helpfulness of the team, particularly the night desk manager and maintenance crew. While there are occasional reports of less engaged service during off-hours, the overall atmosphere is enhanced by the staff's dedication to guest satisfaction.
The comfort of the beds is often highlighted, contributing to a satisfactory stay despite some remarks about worn mattresses. Overall, La Quinta by Wyndham Stamford / New York City offers a reliably pleasant experience, marked by its location, affordability, and attentive service, while ongoing renovations hint at potential improvements in areas of concern.

Super 8 by Wyndham Stamford/New York City Area is strategically located, offering convenient access to major highways such as Interstate 95, making it an appealing choice for travelers driving in from different areas. The proximity to various dining options and the provision of ample parking enhance its practicality for both short stays and stopovers.
The breakfast experience, though simple, is appreciated for its inclusion of items like waffles, cereal, and coffee, allowing guests to start their day with some basic options. However, the limited variety and occasional seating wait times suggest room for improvement in catering to diverse tastes.
Room amenities, such as mini fridges, coffee makers, and safes, add convenience, though guests have pointed out issues with maintenance and cleanliness. While the bathrooms are noted for cleanliness, concerns about smoke odors, uncomfortable bedding, and air conditioning illustrate areas needing attention to enhance overall comfort.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel is mixed, with some guests finding their stay satisfactory while others note pervasive odors and areas needing significant cleaning and renovation. The noise from the nearby highway adds to the challenges, particularly for those looking for a quiet stay.
The standout feature of the hotel is its staff, who consistently impress with their friendliness and professionalism. Guests commend their helpful and courteous demeanor, highlighting a welcoming atmosphere led by a kind and caring management team. Despite any shortcomings in facilities, the staff's dedication leaves a lasting positive impression.
