Nestled in a picturesque, historic setting, the Inn of the Hills Hotel and Conference Center is favored for its outstanding location, charming ambiance and beautiful grounds. Guests appreciate the convenience of being centrally situated near various stores, restaurants and essential services, making it easy to explore the surroundings and attend to everyday needs. The hotel's stone structure, lush palm trees and inviting swimming pools, including one by the river, create a serene and relaxing environment that visitors enjoy.
The breakfast service at the on-site restaurant receives favorable remarks, particularly for the quality and atmosphere of its buffet offerings. While the cost of breakfast can be considered high, the value and quality of the food are often deemed worth it by guests. Highlights include the free full breakfast offered on Mondays and Tuesdays, which is highly praised.
Rooms at the Inn of the Hills provide a blend of comfort and nostalgia with spaciousness and cleanliness frequently commended. Useful amenities such as refrigerators, microwaves and coffee makers enhance the stay. Though some rooms show their age through dated decor and occasional maintenance issues, the overall experience is positive with many guests finding them to be well-maintained and peaceful. The cabana pool rooms, in particular, are noted for their relaxing porches and pleasant surroundings.
Cleanliness is a standout feature across the property with high standards maintained in both the grounds and rooms. The hotel staff is commended for their friendliness, professionalism and attentive service, enhancing the overall guest experience. Specific mentions highlight the front desk personnel's accommodating nature and housekeepers' thoroughness.
The pool area is another highlight, described as fantastic and well-kept with large, clean pools and ample seating in shaded areas. The landscape, adorned with huge trees, provides a delightful retreat for relaxation. Guests appreciate the hotel's pool facilities, which are well-suited for family enjoyment.
While opinions about the beds vary, many guests find them comfortable and clean, though there are mentions of inconsistent comfort levels and the occasional need for updates.
In summary, the Inn of the Hills Hotel and Conference Center is celebrated for its beautiful location, charming ambiance, high cleanliness standards and friendly staff. It offers a comfortable and enjoyable stay that many guests find worth returning to.
